Wood is a substantial renewable resource that can be used as a fuel to generate electric power and useful thermal output. Wood for use as fuel comes from a wide variety of sources. The Nation’s forest land (or timberland) is the primary, and in most cases original, resource base for fuel wood. Wood for fuel use is also derived from private land clearing and silvi-culture and from urban tree and landscape residues. A third major wood resource is waste wood, which includes manufacturing and wood processing wastes, as well as construction and demolition debris. Railroad ties and utility poles are Wood To Fuel LLC's biggest source of materials for fuel for Power Plants.

Company Background
Wood To Fuel LLC has grown and flourished in the waste management and recycling industries. Since the early 90's, the principals and founders, have been leaders in waste management running the gamut from grease, oil, C & D, municipal waste, natural wood waste, and railroad waste.
Wood To Fuel LLC. is a firm founded upon years of experience in both Bio Mass alternative fuels and waste management experience. Our principals have collectively decades of renewable energy and waste managementexperience and bring to the table a "real world" understanding of various technical concepts of renewable energy. Our background as renewable energy and waste management experts helps us provide our clients with highly-specialized services for application for renewable energy, federal clean air application, and application for air quality control permits, as well as expertise in other areas of intellectual renewable energy laws. Prior to forming the firm,. Steven C. Johnson and Teresa Reile spent many years is the recycling and waste management business. Between the two of them they have developed an efficient way of processing and delivering alternative fuels to Bio Mass Power plants across the United States. Their knowledge of rail, barge, and trucking, has helped Wood To Fuel LLC maintain steady and consistent supply of wood and other alternative fuels to their customers.

Renewable Potential Maps present an integrated picture of renewable energy resources in each U.S. Census Division. Solar, geothermal, and wind energy potentials and indicators of hydroelectric and biomass energy potentials (fuelwood harvested, rivers, and precipitation) are presented.

The Renewable Potential Map series includes maps of each of the nine U.S. Census Divisions and individual State maps of Alaska, California, and Hawaii. Links to the maps and to a list of sources of data used to create them are provided links above
